San Luis Obispo Celebrates New Service
Delta Launches Daily Non-Stops to Salt Lake City
SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA (June 11, 2007) – The City of San Luis Obispo formally welcomed Delta to the San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport, as the airline’s partner, SkyWest, launched non-stops to its Salt Lake City hub. SkyWest will link the cities twice a day, with 50-seat CRJs.
Mark Sixel was instrumental in securing the new Salt Lake City service, serving as the primary air service development consultant for the San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport. Sixel completed the market research, and airline presentations, to recruit SkyWest and Delta.
SCG has also developed a multi-media advertising and marketing campaign for the new service, increasing awareness about Delta’s presence in the market and emphasizing the affordability of the new flights (see the Air Service Marketing section of this website for examples from the campaign). Delta’s one-way fares start as low as $129.
