Revenue Guarantee Funding Development
One of the more difficult facets of air service development is
getting a community to partner with an airport – taking a financial
stake in supporting new service. Airlines have made it clear, in
anything but the most obvious markets, they would like to see some
kind of revenue guarantee in place to support a new route during
start-up. Sixel Consulting Group has helped dozens of airports
develop these revenue guarantees.
While grant programs can raise some of the funds required for
revenue guarantees, often it takes a commitment on behalf of the
major users of air service to bring new air service to an airport.

Airports have found it to be quite helpful to have a third party
work on these revenue guarantee deals, preserving proprietary data
and ensuring the guarantee will work for the prospective airline.
